Brief Project Information

Brightics AI is a prescriptive algorithm and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based analysis platform. The platform can be applied to the various sectors ranging from manufacturing, marketing, logistics, security, IoT, health care and etc.

Brightics AI transforms large volumes of data into easy-to-understand visuals using artificial intelligence. Brightics is an AI-based analytics platform that drives informed decision making, empowering users to forecast sales and future demand, assess risk in real-time, and predict equipment failures before they happen. This cloud-based AI platforms give all the benefits of an installed platform with increase data-power, enhanced access, and reducing cost.

Brightics AI has been used to enhance credibility of Cello Square’s external logistics service by collecting and analyzing logistics risks such as natural disasters, weather, and social issues and assessing shipment risks. Brightics AI also has been adopted by manufacturing companies to drive faster decision-making and forecast right promotion timing.  In addition, Bright AI was adopted to forecast energy demand to save energy cost and it has offered operation guidelines to companies.

Brightics AI will be helpful in meeting several of the SDGs. Brightics AI helps move towards the Decent Work and Economic Growth goal as the high-performance big data analytics platform enables rapid analysis of super large volume of data at a low cost. With its wide-range of application from manufacturing, marketing, logistics, security, IoT, healthcare and risk management, the project help promote the Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure goal, the Sustainable Cities and Communities goal, and the Affordable and Clean Energy, Climate Action and Good Health and Well-Being goal.

Acknowledgement

The original content of this case is from Oxford Initiative on AI×SDGs (2018-2022) which was a research project at the University of Oxford, directed by Prof. Luciano Floridi and Prof. Mariarosaria Taddeo. Its goal was to determine how artificial intelligence (AI) has been and can be used to support and advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). One of the deliverables was a curated, open, and fully searchable collection of international projects that use AI to support one or more of the SDGs. The content of that collection is now hosted here. We thank Prof. Floridi, Prof. Taddeo and their research team for the collaboration. Descriptions and functionalities have been extended to adapt the original content to the AI for SDGs Think Tank Observatory.
